Quietly Beautfiul

A lovely treasury by one of my favourite Etsians, Kim of Graceartandantiques, featuring my little Song of the Lilac cuff. I'm among such beautiful company! Thank you Kim.

Shop Update

She is the captains sweetheart
Her hair is black as pitch
Her father was a ferry man
Her mother was a witch

Her eyes are green as serpents skin
Her lips as rubies red
The captain calls her 'mermaid'
The sorrow of the dead

When the captain comes a calling
She fair flies into his arms
He is captured, he is taken
With her fancies and her charms

She was the captain's sweetheart
'Till he fell full fathom five
The daughter of a ferryman
Never leaves her loves alive.

Back in the saddle...

...and I'm updating the shop tomorrow! After so long...

Just a taste of what's to come.

I just remember earlier that I promised you house photos, but I actually don't have any! I accidentally deleted them from my memory card, but I'll try to take some tomorrow before I head off to Melbourne for a week -again! I don't spend enough time in this house...

Halloween is starting to creep into my bones. I always get rather wistful and wretched this time of year, as Halloween in virtually non-existent in Australia, and when it's around the weather is always so unapologetically early summer sunshiney and bright that it generally ruins the effect.

But all you there in the States and Europe...how flame-leaved and stormcloud lucky you are, to have the witching hour so sodden in your realm! All your fabulous crafters and artists, sprinkling black glitter and fashioning bats and cats and witches. I'm as jealous as the night is long.

The circle returns

Finished jewellery hanging in the studio

And I'm back, with home internet! It's been far too long, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if I don't go to bed at all tonight! ;) It's time to kick back and trawl through the 1000+ posts on my Reader. House photos for you tomorrow!

The Most Wonderful Nine by Nine

These Flickr mosiacs are addictive, especially when I don't have the where-with-all to show you things from my world lately- cuffs I've been working on, the unpacked studio, thrift treasures etc...

Soon my poppets.

Welcome home, stranger!

Ohhhhh my goodness me..! Well, after spending the last two weeks in an almost-daily battle with the phone company, I finally have a landline connection, which means my internet will be back online hopefully by the middle of the week. I must say I've been going quietly mad...having no home internet is a bother enough to me considering most of my socialising is done there, but just in the realms of Etsy, Ebay and Flickr- I've lost two weeks of productive networking and sales. The phone Company didn't seem to care about this, though the last rep I spoke to politely accepted my requst that I be credited $100 for my trouble. In realistic terms it doesn't cover what could have possibly been lost, but it's something at least.

When I'm fully re-instated I shall be having a shop tidy-up; new items will be listed and I may even have a giveaway on the blog to celebrate! Stay tuned, and in the meantime let's all admire the jaw-dropping beauty of some of my recent Etsy favourites...
